what’s this all about?: The SCMA is hosting its first ever student-only event this Friday to commemorate the Collecting Art of Asia exhibition in the Museum right now. Commemorating 100 years of Asian art in the Museum’s collection, the Collecting Art of Asia exhibition includes Traditional, Contemporary, Prints from 1950 to the present, as well as Video Art.
why should I go?: This is a chance to celebrate the art of Asia with a free, student-only event at YOUR Museum! The night will also feature Asian appetizers by Tryon Common starting at 7pm (om nom), performances by EKTA and Smith’s K-Pop Dance Crew at 8:30 (fun!), music by WOZQ all night long, and calligraphy and Origami-making.
when?: Friday, February 22nd, from 7 to 10 PM
